Arizona turf, back before anyone believed in it
Turfscapes started in 2004, but the owner was working with artificial turf long before that, back when people still called it AstroTurf and most homeowners wouldn’t touch it. Selling fake grass in the desert was a hard pitch in those days. He stuck with it.
More than twenty years on, it’s still the same owner and still family run out of Phoenix. The product has come a long way since the AstroTurf era. The standard he holds it to hasn’t moved.
He didn’t start with backyard lawns. He started with putting greens, the fussiest turf there is. A green has to roll true and hold its speed, or a golfer calls it out on the first putt.
That eye for detail shows up on every install. Seams pulled tight, edges cut clean where the turf meets pavers and borders, and a base built to drain so it won’t sink or settle a couple seasons down the road. The owner stays close to the work and holds each job to the standard Turfscapes is known for.
The work runs the full range now: backyard lawns, poolside retreats, putting greens, pet runs, playgrounds, bocce and pickleball courts, and full paver-and-turf makeovers, for homes and businesses across the Valley and throughout Arizona. Big job or small, it gets the same attention.
